The Husband Project: 21 Days to Loving Your Husband on Purpose and with a Plan
This giveaway is going to be different than ANY other giveaway I host, because your answers matter in this one. There is only 1 way to enter, and getting through all the questions is your 1 entry. There are no additional entries. This form is like an interview questionnaire, and I will choose the top 4 choices, and then random.org will choose which one gets the free book and a person to go through it with.
You ask, what are you interviewing for? I am interviewing for an accountability partner in this project. As I read the book, there is a requirement of having someone read the book and do the activities with you, someone you can help along the way, and someone to help you. A person who will send reminder emails a couple times a week, and encourage bonus projects. I am looking for someone who wants to read this book and start on it right away! Someone who needs something new in their marriage!
So far, I do recommend that you buy this for yourself and do it anyways! Heck, I will be your accountability partner if you need one! This book (even just reading it, before I have started doing any actual projects) has opened my eyes to some things and is just making it easier for me to make my behaviors better for my husband.
The book is a set of guidelines to help you make the marriage better on your end, you can't change your husband, but you can change your actions to be deliberately for him . It may take a little extra work if you are having a rough time in your marriage, because this assignment does require you to make a vow to be nice to him, and to do each task for 21 days. I encourage it especially for those who are finding it difficult to balance work, kids, and hubby time! After reading through all the tasks I am excited to get going and I considered starting without an accountability partner, but decided that i could make this a Fun Giveaway, to earn my companionship for approximately 3 weeks, but more like a lifetime, because as this activity progresses, and we have to know details of our plans for each other's husbands, we will become more than accountability partners, we will become friends.
I am not being compensated for writing this review. Kathi Lipp shared the opportunity to do this with my followers out of the kindness of her heart by providing me two books. This is all personal opinion and your experience with the book will be only yours.
I hope to get to know all of you a little bit, and I will be making my decision about who will be given the book on Monday October 18th. Entries will end at 11:59pm EST on Sunday Oct 17th.
(A form has been removed because this contest is closed. Winner is Jennifer D. She will receive an email. However, I am going to be contacting Kathi Lipp's PR dept to see if the others that entered can receive one as well. I would love to work on this as a group project since there were so few entries*4* to be exact.)

Tommee Tippee Review and giveaway! CLOSED!
Day one Tuesday:
I received my Tommee Tippee Explora® Sippy Cup today in the mail. I was so excited because just yesterday I was in touch with the representative in the PR department over there. I opened up the package from UPS and there was my beautiful 2 pack of supposed "truly spill-proof" sippy cups. My first thoughts were that the cups themselves were much cuter than I remembered when I looked at the photos online. I like that the packaging had pink in it when I chose the pink/purple cups.. I am not entirely sure if that is because I picked girly cups or if that is the typical coloring. As I look at the packaging I am noticing a few things: There are small logos that say Leak Proof, 50 years experience, BPA free, and Awarded UK Superbrands 2009-2010. On the back it shows 5 stages of the Explora Truly Spill-proof cups: a trainer cup 6m+, a sippy cup 9m+, a straw cup 12m+, a water bottle 18m+, a drinking cup 24m+. At this point I determined that I wasn't going to be able to try them out today because I had errands and I wanted to truly supervise my daughter's first experience with them, so they went on the counter until tomorrow. My camera charger is lost so hopefully this week I can take the baby over to my mom's house and get a photo or two of her with her beloved sippy cup.
Day two Wednesday:
Day three Thursday:
Day four Friday:
Anticipating my 2 major papers due on Sunday I am opening this giveaway Friday night at 10:00 pm EST. I will update with my further observances Saturday however they may be a bit late and I don't want you to miss out on valuable entry time.
Day five Saturday:
We took our sippy cup in the car today, and all over the place! It came to my mom's house to get these lovely pictures (as I mentioned earlier, my camera is out of commision). Then we went apple picking with my two sisters, the sippy cup came there too. Then we went to my sister's to make dinner together and spend some girl time together! At first Ariana seemed sick of the sippy cup, she didn't want her juice and kept tossing it at me. I was discouraged,no 5th day to my review... As soon as I dumped the juice and replaced it with milk, my daughter loved her sippy again. (She must not be a fan of white grape peach).
Thank you all for reading my review of the Tommee Tippee Explora® Truly Spill-Proof Sippy Cup!

Autumn in Connecticut
I AM FREEZING! It has gotten to the point where I live, that it is getting very chilly at night. Some of the trees are changing colors (but lots are confused because we get a hot spell then a cold spell).
I am excited to announce that I am doing 3 more confirmed giveaways before the end of October, and hopefully some extra ones too! I am constantly contacting companies that are things I think that my readers (young adults, parents, busy working people) will be interested in. My two confirmed company based giveaways are from Tasty Baby and Elite Bowtique. I am also going to do a giveaway of a beautiful hand crafted in Ireland Claddagh necklace (pictures to come) when we reach 100 on the blog!
I am also trying to work in a giveaway or two from my local Avon representative (that would be me with my in stock items, but since I have stopped selling, I am going to contact someone I know who also sells and see if she wants to get the link love from my blog.)
Now, don't forget about the awesome 600 follower giveaway I am going to be having right here on my blog, where photographers in various regions are offering free professional photo shoots to my bloggers, and yes, there will be tons of winners because of how many photographers there are. I am still in cahoots with many, so please don't be discouraged if your area is not yet listed. Please check out all the details in this blog post
I am heading out to spend the day with my family!

Accusation: "You are obsessed [with this blog]"
Alright..this is for my husband, who fears that I have become obsessed with blogging. It is also for anyone that may be considering starting their own review and giveaway blog.
To my Sweetheart,
Blogging takes a lot of time.
You need to create or find someone to create a header or template, buttons for users to grab, tab buttons, etc. You have to get permission from the photographer ig you are using a picture, or permissions of other images you may have found on the web. And be sure to credit the maker and the original source, yadda yadda yadda..
You need to reach out to companies that you are interested in product testing and reviewing. Email all of them, keep up continuous conversation until it is settled how you will be working with them: whether it is a review from something you already have, an interview of the founder, or a company provided review and giveaway. If it ends in a way that says "contact us in XXX days/months/years" you have got to be on it, cause it is not their responsibility!
You need to network with other bloggers who have a lot of followers and form alliances and get their followers to want to read your blog too! This can take a lot of time too! There are blog hops, which are big bands of blogs that want to connect but often there are rules to go to a certain amount and comment and then go pick more that you like and this and that and this.. but it is worth it if you want to make it to a goal number.
You also have to take the time to actually use and review the items you receive from these companies! I didn't let her use that sippy cup while I was not paying attention right away because I wanted to be sure I saw what she thought. If she threw it and got frustrated, or kept it to her lips, and when she inevitably threw it in the end, did it spill or not? You have to watch for these things when you are actually reviewing something!
No one ever said that this would be easy. Honey, I don't ask for much in this world. My three getaways are my once a week- 45 minute long dance class, my very few and far between long soaks in the tub, and now, my blog time each night which is generally while you are at work anyways. Yes, I am constantly checking emails and twitter and looking to see how many followers I have, but that is part of the game. I signed up for this and I knew what I was getting myself into because I asked other bloggers what it takes. I have failed at previous attempts at things (ex Avon, K&RKK, etc) but I am determined in this moment to be a successful blog mom.
Love your BLOGGER wife, Hugs and Kisses, and tell your boss I say hi!
Now back to the world of a blog mom. Please feel free to contact me if you are considering doing this and I will tell you anything I have learned and answer as many questions as I can for you. sunshinetostarshine@yahoo.com I am off to try and find the charging cord for my digital camera so I can capture some moments of my daughter with our new Tommee Tippee provided review item and then I am going to get some headphones on and try to watch a new tv show that I need to write a 750 word paper about for my class.

The Husband Project: Mini- Description
Q&A with Kathi
Kathi, why did you want to write The Husband Project?
When my husband and I got married, I was determined not to be like so many other couples who turned from romantics to roommates in a matter or months. But, like everyone else, we got back form the honeymoon and had kids and bills and home repairs waiting. It wasn’t long until I packed away the lingerie and was wearing sweats to bed. I knew that if I wasn’t intentional about keeping my husband a priority, it would be easy to let him fall to the middle of my to-do list. I had to get desperate and creative – that is how The Husband Project was born.
Tell me, how does The Husband Project work?
The Husband Project is like a workout program for your marriage – only with less sweat and more chocolate. You commit to do fun and flirty things for 21 days to raise the temperature of your marriage – everything from flirty notes on the bathroom mirror to more lingerie in the bedroom. It is a little bit of work – and a whole lot of fun.
How did you come up with the Projects?
All of these projects are husband tested and wife approved. First I tried things out on my husband, and then I had a group of over 200 women try some of those projects out on their own men. We took the projects that had the highest flirt factor and put them into the book.
Don’t most women want to do nice things for their husbands? Why do you need a book to do them?
Oh, I totally agree. We all have great intentions, but blessing your man is like making dinner: The hardest part isn’t the cooking, it is deciding what to fix. It is the same with the husband project – all the ideas are pretty simple, but the Projects just lay it out so that it is easy to do.
An example of what a project looks like:
Most of the projects take less than 5 minutes or 5 dollars. One woman made her husband’s favorite brownies and put one on his nightstand every evening for five days. Another wife just casually mentioned to her mother-in-law what an amazing man she had raised in front of her husband. That man lived off that compliment for two weeks. We also collected some of the best low-cost dating ideas from the women who have done The Husband Project and have those up on the website at www.kathilipp.com under Free Resources to give you even more ideas than what are found in the book.
Please shoot me an email or leave a comment with your email address if you want to see some of the first chapter, unfortunately I am having trouble with the blog formatting to get it to appear here.
I am also going to be taking a 5 day challenge from Kathi Lipp!!
9/28 Day #1 Today I am going to be working on the transition time when he gets home from work, for us that means there will be soda in the refridgerator, his jammies will be clean and laid out so he can change after his double shift, and the tv will be free.
>>If you(reader) were to *edit* your spouse's transitional routine, what would you change to make it better for them??
--This really didn't make much difference in our routine as I typically do leave him be for an hour or so after he gets home. He did however like that I made sure to set up the tv on his favorite show before he even walked in.
9/29 Day #2 Today I am supposed to initiate an activity that my husband used to love. I am going to let him watch wrestling.
>>If you were to let/encourage your spouse be a little nostalgic with something that they used to do as a kid, what would you do?
--He was tired and slept a lot of his day off and didn't feel like watching wrestling but I told him if he wants to on Monday I will record it so he can watch when he gets out, because usually I am not a big supporter; marriage is about sacrifice I guess.
9/30 Day #3 Today I am supposed to say something nice about my hubby to someone while I know he can hear me, or so that I can repeat it to him later.
>>If you were to say something nice about your spouse to someone what would you say?
--I told his mom that I was really glad that he found his current job because it is really nice to know bills are being paid on time and we still have spending money. This is huge for us cause he doesnt think I support him in this job (he works 60+ hours weekly). When she told him he came in and gave me a big hug and said thanks for believing in him.
10/1 Day #4 Today I am supposed to get or make my hubby a food treat that is just for him (not me or his brothers or his mom or our daughter).
>>If you were to do this task, what would you make?
--I was going to make him a home made (not from the box) chocolate cake, but yesterday he mentioned that he wanted some cinnamon swirl bread, so I am going to make that and I will see what he thinks when he gets home. He called and asked what I was doing tonight and I mentioned making the bread.. he told me not to make it and that we would go out for ice cream together instead. Had a nice time. :)
10/2 Day #5 Today is the last day of this challenge! I am supposed to send a flirty text or email to my husband while he is out. He is going to be at work for much of the day, but I will have to keep it PG since he has a lot of people around most of the times.
>>Would you send a naughty text or just something sweet if you knew no one else could see it?
